The student councilors have been experiencing problems with students lately who have been skipping class or going back to class late after recess. Below are three proposals carefully decided by the student councilors,

1st proposal is to ask the discipline teacher’s to patrol around the premises of the school especially around the basketball areas and canteens to look for student whom skipped classes or loitering without a valid pass from the respective teacher. If found the students are to be punished appropriately.

2nd proposal, student councilors are to plan a clear route system for the students in each class to take after any dismissal and the councilors are to follow them to class to make sure they settle down and wait until the respective subject teachers arrive.

3rd proposal, students are to be immediately fetched by their respective period teacher’s at any dismissal and are to take them to class. When they get there, they are to take attendance and are to make sure all students are present.

As a student council President representing the student council body, write a proposal to your principal to tell her about the current situation the student councilors are facing. Suggest to her which is the best choice to implement and the reason for choosing it and also the state the reasons for rejecting the rest.

Set your letter out correctly, in clear, accurate English, and use an appropriate tone which will persuade her to improve the current situation.

The student councillors who has been experiencing problems with students lately who have been skipping class or going back to class late after recess.Below are what some comments made by you and your friends:

Why are the students taking longer routes to go back to class?

Some students have been skipping classes they do no like and they go to the canteen or go play basketball and the councillors have to patrol during lesson time to catch them.

Students are sneaking food into the classroom and leaving their food wrappers on the floor.

Students are not listening to us when we tell them to keep quiet or not to eat in class.

Student councillors are going back to class late because they have to make sure the classes are quiet befor they go back, its disrupting our learning?

Write a letter to the Principal to tell her about the important role a student councillor plays. Inform her on the problems that you as a councillor is facing. Explain to her how it affects your acedemic work. Also, give suggestions as to how the problem can be solved and how you would like the teachers to help you n managing the students and certain rules that you think should be put into place to help you.

Set your letter out correctly, in clear, accurate English, and use an appropriate tone which will persuade them to improve the current situation.

what do you think is happening in the picture?
The students are wearing uniform with their bags on the table, their are probably in school. There is a girl eating noodles and a guy with prawn crackers infront of him so they are probably in a canteen. The students are probably skipping class because the girl standing up is pointing at her watch and talking to them. she is probably a student councillor asking them how come they out of class at that time and they re the only students in the canteen. The students probably don't care about their class because the gil eating and the boy next to her seem to be caring on with their conversation and ignoring the girl pointing at her watch, and the other girl is busy playing with her hand phone.

What is the girl, who is standing up, thinking or feeling?
The girl is probably feeling frastrated because she is trying to get them to return to their classes but they just ignoring her and continuing their conversation. She is most likely feeling afraid, and thinking, what if a teacher caught them they would get in trouble including her. She is wondering what she is going to do if they still refuse listening to her and she is worried about the work she is missing in class while she is here.

What is going to take place AFTER?
The girl will keep on shouting at them to return to their classes and threaten to call a teacher if they refuse to listen to her. Out of fear the students will eventually give in and start moving. The girl eating will put back her bowl and the guy will throw away his food packets and the girl using her cellphone will eventually stand up. They will take their bags and move to their classes. The girl standing up will probably follow them to make sure they to class and not try run away again.
