Current approaches to environmentalism do not work because most people do not think of it as their role. When it comes to global warming, environmentalism flunked. Despite years of warnings, countries fail to meet the reduction targets or even engage in the Kyoto Protocol. Methods of handling global warming are inconsistent. The cheapest way to spur economic growth is by burning more fossil fuel. People believe that the more money you have, you can use the money buy products that can clean the environment. To improve we need to change types of light bulbs we use. Consider smaller homes, closer to the centre of town, where we could use the bus, or a bike for transportation.
